Mealtimes at WBS are set as follows: 7:00 a.m. breakfast, 12:30 p.m. lunch, and 6:30 p.m. dinner. Rates include three meals per day. Always inform WBS staff in advance if you expect to miss a meal. No special accommodations can be made for meal service outside these set times, with the exception of bagged lunches for day excursions. Requests for bag lunches must be made 24 hours in advance.

Food at WBS is typical Ecuadorian fare for the region. It is simple but filling. Rice is the staple, supplemented with small amounts of protein such as chicken, fish or beef. Simple salads are a common accompaniment. Lunches regularly include soup. Service is buffet style, and we ask that occupants take no more than they wish to eat, in order to reduce food waste.

Some dietary restrictions can be accommodated (e.g. vegetarian), but occupants with particular dietary needs must recognize that that variety of foodstuffs and services is limited in the highly rural location of WBS. Plan accordingly, and stock up on any special dietary needs in Quito before arriving at the Station.
